Where is your kayak rental company located on Kauai?

Our kayak rental company is located in Kapaa. To find us, simply type in “Kayaking in Kauai” on Google Maps and we should pop up. We are next to Tony’s Catch and the food trucks on the north end of Kapaa. Sometimes the map doesn’t display our location correctly. If you have any questions please call us (808) 278-7326.

What types of kayaks do you offer for rent?

We rent double kayaks, but they are also capable of being fitted as single-person kayaks.

What is the difference between a premium double kayak and a basic double kayak?

We offer two types of kayak rentals: The premium doubles and the basic doubles. The premium kayaks are newer, more spacious, glide through the water efficiently, and overall a better performing kayak. The premiums also include newer paddles and larger backrests. The price difference is $20. However, both kayaks will get you to your destination.

How much does it cost to rent a kayak?

The cost of renting a double kayak for the day starts at $75 for the basic and $95 for the premium. We include all the necessary equipment: Paddles, seats, life-jackets, a dry bag, car-topping equipment, and a map. For multi-day rentals, please check our “Pricing” page .

Do I need to make a reservation in advance?

It is highly recommended to make a reservation in advance to ensure the availability of the kayaks. Don’t wait for the day-of to call and book, often times we are booked out and it is best to secure your rental.

What is included in the kayak rental?

The kayak rental includes paddles, life jackets, seats, a complimentary dry bag, roof racks/straps, and a map.

Can I rent a kayak for a half-day or full-day?

Our kayak rentals are day rentals only and start at $75. However, we can schedule the pick-up time around you and whenever you decide to be finished. The slots are 6-hour slots however most guests finish within 4-5 hours - you are welcome to enjoy the kayak for the full day, just let us know when you are planning on returning it.

Are there any age restrictions for renting a kayak?

Yes, for safety reasons, renters must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by a legal guardian. Please inquire for more information.

Do you provide instructions or training on kayaking?

Yes, we provide basic instructions and safety guidelines for beginners. We will guide you on proper kayaking techniques, safety precautions, and information about the local area.

Can I take the kayak to other locations on Kauai?

Our kayaks are typically rented for use in specific areas designated by our rental agreement. Taking the kayaks to other locations are an option but we ask you let us know where you are wanting to take them for safety reasons.

What happens if the kayak gets damaged during my rental?

We understand that accidents happen. Minor wear and tear are expected, but significant damage or loss may result in repair or replacement charges. We recommend contacting us immediately in such cases.

Is there a cancellation policy for kayak rentals?

Customers will receive a full refund with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
